Over the past four years, the standards of achievement and progress have improved and are consistently above national averages. Equally important, is that we help students to develop into well-educated, confident, caring individuals well-prepared for the future. This is achieved not only through excellent teaching of the formal curriculum but also through the rich and varied extra-curricular activities, numerous trips and visits and the excellent sporting, music and drama opportunities that we offer.
Visitors to our school regularly comment on the warm inviting atmosphere, the ethos of quiet engaged learning and students who are well-behaved. The excellent relationships between students and staff not only foster the good learning culture but also the excellent pastoral support developed through our vertical tutor House System. Add to this the diverse experiences gained through the cross-curricular days, the projects aimed at developing work-skills and the opportunities to engage in projects in the community, our students leave Brentwood County High School equipped with the knowledge and skills to enable them to engage in their next stage of learning at university, college or in the workplace.
