Eco Schools Green Flag 2009

We are currently the only secondary school in Essex to hold three Green Flags. We have worked hard for the last eight years towards becoming a more sustainable school.

Our first award was the Silver Eco Schools Award in November 2005, which was then followed by a half day inspection which led to the First Green Flag in February 2006. In February 2009, we were awarded our second Green flag after a further application and inspection and then in June 2011 we gained our third flag! There are only 366 schools in the UK to hold two or more Green Flags, only around 50 of them are secondary schools. Only 18 schools across Essex have a green flag.
